E.S (Establishing Shot)

-Establish the setting/location

-Establish narrative/genre expectation 

E.L.S (Extreme Long Shot)

-To show more details than an Establishing

-Provide a good sense of scale(can see the whole figures)

L.S (Long Shot/ Wide shot)

-Shows whole body (Head to toe).

-Analysing Mise-en-scene—>Costume posture.

-Good for analysing character representation

(Practical >Film the wide shot first)

M.L.S (Mid Long Shot)

-Shows mid section upward(上半身)

-Great for showing Conversation

M.S (Mid-shot)

C.U(Close Up)Fills the whole frame 

-Intense face expression

-Make up

-Shows detail

E.C.U (Extreme Close Up)

-Even more details

Over the Shoulder Shot

-Conversation 

-Shows you a person speaking ,usually for close up

-Give a sense of the people speaking with

-from a character view, to the opposite person

Angle

High Angle Shot(Camera up high looking down)上帝视角

-Making the character small ,weak

-Great way to show power from the audience

-hierarchy

-All in Control

Low Angle

-Person on screen is powerful

Point of View

-Put the audience into the character’s view

-Good for horrible films, actions 

Canted Angle(Dutch Tilt)

-camera off centre

-Great for conveying surreal moments (anything that doesn’t fit)

-Disorientating(使人迷失方向) for the audience

Camera Movement

Pan(摇镜):Camera stay still, Moving the camera lens to one side or another.Looking to left to right.

Zoom(变焦):Zooming is one camera move that most people are probably familiar with.it involves changing the focal length of the lens to make the subject appear closer to further away in the frame(rarely used)

Tilt(上下摇)：Moving lens up or down while keeping its horizontal axis constant.Nod(点头) your head up and down.

Track:Either left to rhight or front and back,while keeping the subject centred.
-The whole camera moves
-best to capture actions

Hand Held:
-The motion will be rocky
-convey action scene
-Following
-more mobile
